Zubair Ali Mannan — Jubz to almost everyone — was raised in Swansea, the son of a retired chef. Fifteen years in professional kitchens followed: restaurants, hotels, private events, the long apprenticeship of fine-dining technique. Plated By Jubz is the work that came after — modern Indian drawn from the South Asian table he knows by heart, served with restaurant-grade plating.

What is a pop-up night? A pop-up night is a shared-table dinner event. One long table, one set menu, a room of people who mostly arrived as strangers. No à la carte, no choosing — you sit down and the food comes to you, course after course. It is the easiest way to taste the cooking before booking him for a private dinner at home.
